Dr Fong Ho Kheong was Associate Professor of the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was also the founding President of the Association of Mathematics Educators from 1994-1998 and the Chief Editor of The Mathematics Educator from 1998-2000. Dr Fong obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of London. He specializes in teaching high ability children as well as children with problems in mathematics.

Dr Fong is currently engaged in a consultancy assignment at the University of Bahrain to bring his Methods/ Strategies of Mathematics to the country.

Prior to this, he was the Head of Mathematics and Science in the Emirates College for Advanced Education, Abu Dhabi. He is very well-sought after in Worldwide Conferences for his own Brand of Mathematics.

Dr Fong Ho Kheong recently launched his new “Math in Focus” Series in the USA. The programme is aligned with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Curriculum and was unveiled recently at the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) and NCTM conferences in Washington, D.C.

As a mathematics education specialist, he provides consultancy work to help children with difficulties in learning mathematics. His research work includes teaching thinking to solve mathematical problems and diagnosing children with mathematical difficulties.

He has developed more than 100 journal articles, research reports, and primary and secondary mathematics books. He also authored a series of guidebooks for parents and teachers.

|
His School Textbooks Series - "My Pals Are Here Mathematics" is used by over 80% of Singaporean schools. The series is all over the world. And in America, his textbooks will soon reach another 2 million students with the recent launch of his new “Math in Focus” Book Series.
